Specify left text alignment in table cells

New Here ,
Feb 05, 2019 Feb 05, 2019

Hi,

I'm attempting to specify the alignment of the text within a table cell, i need to specify that throughout an entire document with many 4 column tables that all the text in the far right column will be right aligned, while leaving the rest of the cells left aligned as specified in the Paragraph style, i can currently do this by selecting each column individually and changing the alignment, however for handover to the client this needs to be automatic to prevent inconsistencies in the formatting when its edited by restaurant staff

In the example below the bottom table is the current default formatting as per the paragraph style
the top table is the desired result

Thanks

You can do this with nested styles.

  1. Create two paragraph styles: one for the text that is aligned left, one for the text that is aligned right.

  2. Create two cell styles: one for the text that is aligned left, one for the text that is aligned right. Nest the  appropriate paragraph styles in the two cell styles.
