I have a beef about how the warning dialog opens when tabbing through the entry boxes as I set up a "step and repeat" function. (This does not always happen so I believe it to be a bug and has been driving me batty for years.)
When I open the dialog and begin to tab through the content fields a warning dialog comes up before getting through the offset specs and hitting the "ok" button if one of the fields contains a distance that takes the content off the bounds of the paste board. I understand the need for the wanrning dialog but in my opinion it should NOT show up until I hit "ok" as it does not now allow me to populate the fields with the actual content I want to "tab" in unless I tab through to the offending field (or use mouse and cursor) and change the offending content first.
I feel the tool should either reset all fields to 0 so I can tab in and input my content from "count" to "vertical offset" then "horizontal" then "ok" before giving a warning. The warning should come only come up upon executing the "ok" command IF I have numbers that take the content off the pasteboard.

You make a good point. For an interesting comparison, try step n repeating a business card that you create in Illustrator. Then apply an Effect to the one grouped business card. In the Appearance panel, you can apply more than one offset effect, thus making a step and repeat.
