Text box and Text

I have a text box with text in it that will not let me do anything to it. I can't move it or change the box or text. It seems stuck. It doesn't show that it is locked either. What can I do to fix it? Thank you for any help.

could you please give some further information, like InDesign version, operating system and maybe post a screenshot? That makes answering less searching a needle in a haystack....

It is the most recent InDesign CC for 2018. Operating system meaning Windows 10? I am trying to get a screen shot.

I don't have a program to take a screen shot of that page. But it is just a text box with text in it.

I found the problem. It was locked in Layers. Thanks.

Did you put your text box on a master page by mistake? Or on a locked layer.
