Hello,
I've been creating files in Adobe InDesign but when I save as a pdf, some of the text get's jumbled for others that I send the file out to but on my end, everything looks fine. Not sure if it's a coding issue or something else. I've been asking around my department but to no avail.

Looks like someone opened the PDF in Acrobat Illustrator or the fonts weren't properly embedded. A bit more info, please.
What version of InDesign? Have you asked the others how they're viewing the PDF? If not Acrobat, then what? What were your PDF export settings?

It says Adobe 20.5 x64. A number of people were experiencing the same thing where the text is jumbled. But my team member, like me, only saw jumbled text in the preview, but when we opened the files, the text was fine. What do you mean by pdf export setting? I'd have to check.

How did you create the PDF?

What do you mean by "in the preview"? If I open up an InDesign-generated PDF in Acrobat, I expect the rendering to be accurate. If I am looking at an InDesign-generated PDF in some other way, I don't necessarily trust the renderer. For instance, if you're using Preview on a Mac, or if you are looking at the PDF in the preview pane of Windows Explorer, I'd say "I don't necessarily trust that tool to render a PDF accurately."
My questions would be the same as Bob's, to be honest. How did you create the PDF? What export settings were used? (When you export a PDF from InDesign, it pops up a dialog, right? With lots of settings you could choose? The dropdown at the top of that dialog specifies "PDF export settings".) What tool are you using to view the PDF? I'm really only posting here because the phrase "only saw jumbled text in the preview" jumped out at me as a possible cause for your issue.
