Hi!
I have several iMacs (21.5-inch, Late 2015) in my dept that were upgraded to mac OS 10.12.6 (16G1036). We have InDesign 2018 installed. This issue came about after upgrading the OS to Sierra. We'd like to stay to Sierra, but are not planning on upgrading to High Sierra at this time. This "flashing" happens with every document upon opening it for the first time.
So when I open a document (new or old), and click on an existing text box with the type tool, the whole document window goes blank (see the screen shot below).
Releasing the mouse button brings the document contents back. If you do this really fast, it looks like the screen is "flashing" and only does it once as long as the document is open.
If I open a document, and double click on text box with the use the Selection tool instead, everything is fine.
Does anyone have suggestions on what can be done? I've tried resetting prefs, clearing caches, flashing pram. I'm assuming it's something OS related? Rendering bug?
Like I said, under El Capitan, this was not an issue.
Thanks.

Have you tried turning off GPU acceleration by either visiting Preferences, or looking for that little rocketship up above the Control Panel?

The GPU option isn't available for me.
