After updating to CC 2019 and the tool bar moving to the 'Properties' panel - I can't seem to locate the text vertical align tools?

Thank you - this helped me find it again

All - see attached below, these are the tools I was looking for

It seems Adobe have missed adding this into the properties panel?!

CMD+B Text Frame Options? Or are you looking for the button on the Control Panel? You migh click the gear symbol on the extreme right end of the Control Panel to see whether something is on or off.

The Essentials workspace now doesn't include the Control panel (horizontal panel at the top). Switch to Essentials Classic workspace or choose Window > Control to add back the Control panel.

Hi James, is that image from the 2019 version?  If so, how did you get it to show up?

As Mike Witherell mentioned, you need to use the gear icon at the far right of the Control panel to see whether it's turned on. If your monitor doesn't have enough pixels to display all the items, it may not fit. I had to turn off one item to the left of Vertical Alignment for it to show up:

That doesn't work.  It's turned on and I tried turning off everything else apart from that and it's still not showing.

EDIT, If I turn EVERYTHING else off, it shows but as soon as I add something else, it's gone.

I would suggest trying troubleshooting by restoring your InDesign preferences:

This was not fixed by restoring preferences but has been fixed in the latest update.

Choose Window > Workspace > Essentials Classic to return to the "familiar" workspace.

or

Add the Control panel back in - Window > Control

In the Properties Panel, you can click the Options button under the Text Frame section to open the Text Frame Options dialog - Same as Cmd + B CTRL + B or Object > Text Frame Options. Just make sure to have the text frame selected with the Selection Tool. If you have the text selected with a cursor, you'll see Options, but it will be for Bullets & Numbering
