text will not move back to a text box by using delete,

Hi there, I am stuck on what I hope is a simple problem. But 3 hours has not solved it so I am asking for help.

Usually when I take out a photo or remove some text I just use delete to bring the text back to join up. For some reason that will not work on this page. And when i tried to add another page it had the same format. It is as if the text box ended there, but I can see it does not.

Is there a way to see if I have placed something there that is not visible? Something like in Word when you can see all the formatting details?

I want the text to extend to the bottom of the page. It will let me add text within that page but not bring it back from the next page.

I am getting a message "unable to complete the action you requested when I try to drag and drop a screenshot.

I didn’t understood your problem, maybe a image could help.

But, things you can’t see maybe you can enable hidden characters.

With text tool right click anywhere in your text frame and select “show hidden characters”.

thanks for the idea. It already shows as "Hide Hidden Characters" so that would mean they should be showing if there are any. I will try again to add the screenshot.

Go to the story editor cmd or strg + Y. It will show the hidden text and often the reason why the text is hidden.

Thank you Will. I have never seen that before. I did find the problem, a text box on the pasteboard was affecting two pages.
