thousands of overset characters but I cannot get them to reveal in my Indesign document

Using preflight I find that I have two overset text items.

I clicked on each item and can see the red plus sign showing that more text is within.

Using Story Editor I see that each item is several thousand characters in length.

I click on the red plus sign and create several text frames and I make sure they are aligned top in terms of vertical justification.

However... each frame I create is empty - what is wrong?

Do you use no break character property? Maybe a character style which is set to no break?

Hi

If you can see the text in the Story Editor, just delete it there.

You might also enable Hidden Characters to look for breaks. What kind of "characters" are you seeing the the Story Editor?

Can you post a screen shot? If they are not text, they could be anchors, inline graphics, codes, etc.
