Hey everyone. For some reason I am able to make objects transparent in InDesign, but when I apply a mode it disappears or acts strange. (I would post an image but, well, there isn't anything to show.)
Any idea what is going on?
I'm using version 15.1.1 on a Mac running OS Catalina 10.15.7.
Oh and I have it set to "High Quality Display."
The Transparency Blend Mode and the Color Mode of the objects can change the blending effect.
CMYK Transparency Blend Space with a CMYK 0|0|0|100 Black over yellow & white rectangles and none:
With the blend space set to RGB and the black rectangle fill set to 0|0|0 RGB Black:

Can you post a screen shot? Best to do this with the Effects panel open so we ansee the settingsfor the object. It would help to know the Transparency Blend Space (CMYK or RGB) for your document, too.

Sure.
The 83 is black with an overlay. It should be orangish, but atleast it is something.
However, when I go to "Overprint Preview" it disappears all thogether.
Here's another example.
It says "Overlay" but the mode is really "Normal."
This is with an "Overlay" applied without "Overpirnt Preview" again in Illustrator the lines would be orangish.
And here it is in "Overprint Preview."

Interesting. Thanks Rob.
I was using Overlay.
