Unable to set bounding box error message

Participant ,

Hi,

Using InDesign CC on Windows 10.

I have simple bitmap images on a page, with nothing selected. The view is highly magnified. I go to the rectangle tool to put a white box on the page. I get an error message "unable to set bounding box."

I can put a rectangle frame using the rectangle frame tool on the page, but not the rectangle tool.

Why is this??

Hi Fred,

could be that the default weight for the stroke on that rectangle is so large and your rectangle you like to draw is so small, that the strokes cannot be applied when the stroke's position is center position on the path of the frame.
