Using measure tool to get same edge gap on each side

This might be a stupid question as well and as easy answer, but somehow I haven't been able to find out how I proparly uses the measure tool.

This is the case: I made two pages which have to have the same edge gaps, but when I use the measure tool Im not able to enter the wanted distance/gap, but the distance jumps to distances that do not correspond to the edge gap on the other page although it seem liker there should be possible to do this using and specific key code?

If anyone know any other way to do this task Im very gratefull also.

I'm having trouble grasping what you want to do. It sounds like you want to change the margins so unless that's it, you're going to have to provide a lot more detail including screenshots.

Yes, thats what I want to do. Im sorry about the confusion.

Layout > Margins and columns is where you would set this. Do it on the master page to change any pages it’s assigned to.
