Weird bug when saving Indesign file

New Here ,
May 25, 2023 May 25, 2023

Everytime I save an Indesign file on my apple laptop a second copy of the file will appear but then in a photoshop format. I cant open the file since its not functional for photoshop and when I delete it the file just pops back into my folders.

I only get this bug when saving stuff from Indesign, none of the other adobe programs do this.

Does anybody have an idea why this happens and how I can prefent it from happening again?

Which version of InDesign and OS?

Have you tried resetting InDesign back to the factory defaults?

Turn on file extensions for all file types. It sounds like you're seeing a lock file which is perfectly normal.
