When exporting an inDesign file to a print PDF, the dimensions of the PDF document are bigger than in ID

I just uploaded the newest version of the InDesign CC 2018 and after that I have had the problem that when I export an InDesign document to a Adobe Print PDF, the size of the document is not the same. For example, I created an InDesign document W125 H180 but when I exported it to a print PDF, the dimensions were W131 H186. When I create an interactive PDF, I don't face the problem.

For high quality printing, I recommend using the ISO standard PDF/x.

Steps are as follows:

  1. File Adobe PDF Presets > PDF/X-4 2008
  2. You will be presented with a Export Adobe PDF dialog
  3. Choose the Marks and Bleed category on the left.
  4. Ensure nothing is ticked.
  5. Export your PDF

For supplying a PDF to a commercial litho printer you would normally tick "Use Document Bleed Settings".

125 WHAT? MM? Inches? Picas?

As the others have mentioned it would seem you have bleed added to your document.
