White Lines Showing Up on Print

I have an InDesign Document that I have exported to a .pdf and am trying to print.  Whenever I print it, these thin white lines are showing up above and below some of my text.  They are not visible on my screen when I vies the .pdf or the .indd file, it is only when I print it out.  I have also tried printing it on a higher resolution color printer, and they are still there.  Any idea what I can do to make them go away?

Then it looks like stitching artifacts. Again, try the PDF/X-4 format with exporting.

Does this happen when you print directly from InDesign? Or just from the exported PDF?

Unfortunately I have to send a .pdf version of the file to the publication that will be printing this.

Have you tried printing it out directly from th InDesign file? Also try printing a page of the pdf from Photoshop to help narrow down the problem.

How are you exporting the PDF? What are your export settings?

I packaged the file and printed the pdf from there.  I haven't changed any settings so they are whatever the default settings are.  I have printed many other pdfs this way and haven't encountered this problem before so I'm not sure why it is happening with this particular file.

Try to export using PDF/X-4.

Is there any transparency involved here?
