Hi everyone, I'm new using xml in InDesign. I'm trying to import a XML file into a text frame using 4 different paragraphs style. The text frame has one tag (article) containing four more tags (kicker, title, lead, text). I want the xml text to apply the paragraph style set on each line but it only applies the first one right (kicker) and for the following applies kicker+.

I don't want to map them because I need one xml tag to use different styles depending on the text frame.

Here is the before and after.

Thanks!

You either map or not.

If you want to have different sets of styles applied to different Stories - then you will need a script. Or more automated solution.

Are you the creator of XML - have power to "customise" XML during creation?

There are few different ways to "skin the cat" - but all will require custom scripting / extra tool.
