a line extends beyond my document

It's not visible in my master page. I'm not able to select it to delete. It's not visible in other chapters. What's happening? InDesign 2020. Thanks, Karen.

Hi Mike,

I just checked all the Paragraph styles to see if I had inadvertantly added a Rule or something.

I think of this as having activated an unfamiliar command somehow and not knowing enough to find it again. Thanks for the suggestion.

I have done a little more hunting around to see how things work. I have sent it to you Mike in a message. I hope you can make sense of it or tell me what more you need to do so.

I have isolated the problem to my master sheet. Funny how it didn't show up in any other chapters using the same master. I was able to select and delete the line in my footer, extending to infinity, and replace it with a line of document width.
