Images won't move

I import an image to the page, but they won't move, or be re-positioned on the page.  How do I fix this?

Is it possible the images are on a Master page and you're trying to move them from a Document page?

What version of InDesign and what operating system are you using? Please also be specific as to exactly what steps you are taking when you import images.
