Since the Update from CC2017 to CC2018 I am having trouble opening a large file (3.24GB).
Opening any other Documents works fine for me.
InDesign starts loading the file (loading bar shows up) but then simply stops the process and closes the window again.
I am fairly certain, that InDesign can't open the file, because of its size. However I was able to open the file with the CC2017 version.
Is there any way to solve this issue?
Thank you for your help!
Sounds like the same problem as in this recent indesign cc 2018 won't open a document
in both the description ("CC2018 does not open a humongous large file") and the underlying cause (because a file size measured in gigabytes is really not typical and may be indicative of a wrong workflow).
Read that thread and try the various solutions offered.

Re-open that file in CC2017 and unembed the images. Do a file save as afterward.
You should never embed many images in an InDesign document. It wouldn't surprise me if that file was fatally corrupted.

Please email your InDesign file to santalwa@adobe.com and I will take a look at the document. You can zip (and password protect) the file and upload to Creative Cloud account (or Dropbox) and send us the document link.
