I am working remotely for a company who use InDesign CS6, they have asked that I change the settings on my inDesign so it automatically saves back to CS6 version rather than the CC so that we can work on documents together with no differences.
How would I do this? They said an Adobe technician remotely accessed his computer to make the changes but I can't contact adobe directly.
Thanks

You might download InDesign CS6 and use this version for this client's work. Ensure you both have exactly the same OTF fonts.
Maybe do some test documents with the client to check the workflow.

You can‘t do it automatically, manually or at all. You can save as IDML. This can be opened in CS6 but thus should never be done as a regular workflow task because the document may reflow or otherwise be different.
For reliable workflow all parties must agree a version and work in it. Your CC subscription let’s you run CS6, so you can use IDML, once, check and keep working in CS6. You might need an older system to run CS6: be sure to cost the job bearing such factors in mind. They are saving money at your expense.

Hi clairem94855397 ,
Derek gave you the best advice!
When working in a team always use the exact same version of InDesign and the exact same font files.

Uwe
