Multiple objects can't be moved or rotated

When I select multiple objects, I can't nudge or rotate them. I get an error message "Requested operation would cause one or more objects to be too small. Please check whether the stroke weight is too large." As I'm not trying to enlarge the objects, this is obviously a false error message. It's possible to drag the objects or rotate them individually but not using keyboard commands. I've tried replacing the preferences, restarting the computer etc but without success. Any suggestions?

Is it just happening with one file or more than one? A check of some old threads suggests a couple of possible fixes. If you are lassoing the multiple objects it is possible that a stray single point might be also being selected which would cause this error message to occur. Is it just happening with one file or more than one? A check of some old threads suggests a couple of possible fixes. If you are lassoing the multiple objects it is possible that a stray single point might be also being selected which would cause this error message to occur. Try selecting each object one at a time while holding the shift and see if that helps. If that works then put those objects on a single layer that you can select anytime you want to transform them in the future. You could also try and do a "Select All" and see if you notice a single point on its own and then you can delete it. If your problem is actually being caused by a corrupt file then try exporting the file as an IDML and then reopen that in InDesign. Sometimes that simple act can cure a whole lot of corruption.

Well done, Bill. It was a stray single point which didn't show when I lassoed the objects. Having now deleted that point, everything works as it should. This was the first document I'd worked on since updating InDesign CC so I'd wrongly assumed it was something to do with that. Thanks for your help.
