can you give a specific example what you like to do?

Would you like to control this with ExtendScript?

ExtendScript: Pages are arranged in spreads. And there could be a spine. But only if you are working with facing pages documents. With "other page side" do you mean a page that is positioned on the opposite side of the spine?

FWIW: A spread could contain a maximum of 10 pages. All pages could be left and/or left right from the spine.
