Hello. I'm hoping to get some advice. I've written a film history book of around 65,000 words. And I'm looking for some guidance on whether or not I can import a Microsoft Word file into an In Design file? I wrote the book in Word, for whatever that's worth, but I don't want to loose all the end notes - about 25 pages at the end of the text.
Also, are their any good and fairly simple after market books on In Design?
Please let me know. Thanks for your help.
LinkedInLearning.com have excellent online video tutorials on creating books with InDesign and they also have one on Placing Word files into InDesign. You can get 30-days free access.
InDesign has a steep learning curve, so you you might consider, alternatively, hiring a designer instead of doing it yourself.
If you do decide to proceed yourself, do feel able to return to this friendly forum to ask specific questions.
