Square in Indesign prints as different size

New Here ,

Hi all,

I created a "size control box" in my Indesign file by just creating a black square with the square tool. I made sure the hight and width are exactly 20 x 20 mm since I want the square to be 2cm x 2cm in the end. But when I print the document (as a pdf, jpeg or png) it keeps on showing me 1.8 cm or 1.9 cm instead of 2 cm. Does anybody know what can cause this problem? I really need the size to be exactly 2 cm.

Let me know if you have tips for me!

Did you try to print PDF from Acrobat with actual size?

Is your InDesign printing without scale?

What do you mean by "print as a PDF"?  What do you mean by "print as a JPEG or PNG"? InDesign doesn't do either of those things, so I assume you make the PDF, JPEG, PNG and print from some other app? What app, and how?
