Table shading, alternate rows

Explorer ,
Jul 18, 2019 Jul 18, 2019

When I set up this table with alternate-row shading, the 1st 2 columns are not following the specified setup, which calls for a 15% tint. There is no individual cell formatting applied to the 1st 2 cells shown.

It's all the alternate rows — but the original table that was sent to me came from Word, so who knows what was going on.

I went back and made it  a Basic Table, then started from scratch to develop a table style. Problem solved.

It baffles me... MUST be something locally overruling the alternate-row shading. Can't think of anything else. Is it just one row of (two) cells, or also the ones above and below (they don't seem to be affected) ? A screen dump of the whole table would help.
