Trying to link Youtube video in Indesign

I am trying to link a youtube video into my indesign document, but it keeps saying the link is invalid. I got the link directly from youtube though. Why won't it lonk?

That looks like you're trying to insert the HTML directly into InDesign, not link to it.

Please be more specific about what you're doing here and what output you're aiming for.

I want the video to appear in the document, not just a link. When I tried doing so through the media panel it said that the URL was wrong. Then I tried doing it through the embed on the youtube video and I got the screenshot error message. I'm thinking something must be wrong with how my document is set up. I am trying to export it to be adobe PDF interactive

That's why it was important to include what format you are exporting to. You would want to embed the actual video in the PDF to make it work traditionally however, nteractivity in PDF is futile unfortunately. Acrobat has always depended on Flash to play autio and video content and now that Flash is no longer an option, there is no replacement for audio/video in a PDF file. You could make it work by exporting to Fixed-Layout EPUB but that too has it's limitations namely the lack of support from readers. You could also try Publish Online but that doesn't give you a file to distribute instead you can provide a URL to view the project online.
