Hello,
For some reason, under the Type Tool, there is a menu that lists these random fonts that I didn't download. I checked my entire computer and nothing showed up. These fonts are also not synced from TypeKit. What's also interesting is that when I open up Illustrator, these same fonts in question are not in the menu. However, when I open up Photoshop, the fonts in question appear just like the ones from InDesign.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling all three programs and have the latest 2018 CC version. How do I get rid of these fonts, as they are crashing my software. Thanks!
The fonts in question based on my screen shot are:

The fonts you list are not installed by Adobe, are not fonts from Adobe, and are not fonts installed either as part of the operating system (Windows or MacOS) or Microsoft Office.

They will almost certainly just be fonts you (or someone) downloaded at some time and installed in Windows or Mac OS. None of them look like fonts Adobe include. Check if they show up in other apps (like Word), don't just look for files.

I also have the latest version of InDesign and Photoshop installed but do not see any of the fonts you mention in either program's font list. I am using the US version of the program on an iMac running El Capitan. What country's version of CC 2018 InDesign and Photoshop are you using and on what operating system? Also do you have any third party plug-ins installed for either or both programs?

Hello!
I am using the US version of CC 2018 InDesign and Photoshop on a Macbook Pro running High Sierra. I don't believe to have installed any third party plug-ins for either program.

Many times cleaning out the Macs font caches can help with whacky font issues. If you are using a font utility like FontExplorer try deleting the font caches under the tools menu. Also here is a link to ways to do a more thorough cleaning of font caches on a Mac: Clear Font Caches & Font Databases in Mac OS X to Resolve Unusual Font Problems . Hopefully, this can get rid of your phantom fonts.http://osxdaily.com/2015/01/08/clear-font-caches-databases-mac-os-x/

Hello!
Yes, I understand that these fonts may not be a part of the Adobe program. However, my issue is I'm not sure why these fonts are coming up and how to get rid of them if they are indeed on my system. These mysterious fonts that are being listed under my Type Tool menu seem to be nowhere to be found in my laptop but because they appear in the menu, it's crashing my software, both InDesign and Photoshop. Surprisingly, these fonts are not seen on Illustrator.

Bottom line, they're on your system. Adobe didn't install them, but someone did. Look in your system fonts folder and drill down from there. Are you Mac or Windows?

Hello, I am on a Mac. Also, I believe I did this correctly, but I looked through both Library and the System fonts folder and couldn't find the fonts that are still giving me such a headache.
Also, I tried to look up these fonts through my Finder and didn't have any luck, either... I'm not sure how else I'm supposed to track down these fonts if they're on my system.
Thanks!

The Mac has three places it stores fonts, not counting program locations. The System Library, the root Library, and the user Library.
It reads as if you checked the System Library and the root Library. To access user Library, at the Finder, hold down the Option key and open the Go menu. You will see the user Library listed. Select it and check it.
As a general rule, you shouldn't mess with the System Library, although the OS should reinstall any required fonts upon startup.
The root and user libraries are not necessary for the OS but are often installed by other programs so the fonts may be required by them.
As a rule, Adobe font names typically end in Pro for Professional and Std for Standard.

Type some text in InDesign in one of these fonts. Call up the Find Font dialog, and check where it's installed. Use the "More Info" button if you don't see all details.

Hello!
Just tried your suggestion, but it didn't seem to be as easy as I thought to find the answer.
I picked a font, 01 Digitall, and it appears that it's missing and that there is a problem. However, on the bottom of my screen, I don't receive any error messages, and the More Info section gives me a black screen.
Thanks!

You seem to be assuming that the fonts will be in a file whose name matches the font. Did you try the excellent suggestion to use the Find Font dialog?

From memory, pink box means that the font is missing. Maybe the list you are looking in is showing fonts used in the current document, rather than ones on your computer. Just a thought.

Hello!
Yes, that is a great thought. The example that I showed with the pink box is a blank document where after creating the new document, I picked one of the fonts in question to see where it'd lead in the Find Font dialogue box. The document is a blank document, single paged, so from my understanding, it doesn't seem to be an issue of fonts that are being currently shown.
Thanks!

I'm sure Dov will correct me if this is incorrect, but my understanding was that InDesign looks for fonts in this order:
I hope this helps

Hello!
Thanks for your explanation. I took your advice but it appears that I don't have any fonts in this particular fonts folder.

After much frustration, I ended up just backing up all of my materials and doing a factory re-set and will be retrieving any necessary files. In theory, I want to believe that all of the above suggestions were correct answers.
Thanks everyone!
