P: 1280x1024 Resolution the Right Hand Module Picker is truncated

Hi,

Please look at this:

Monitor resolution: 1280 x 1024. LR maximized. With LR in window mode, the module selector even disappears by the right of the window.

Problem appeared with LR 11. Same issue after latest update, 11.0.1.

A solution would be greatly appreciated.

If I have the screen set in vertical (eg. 1080x1920) the module labels are incomplete and only Lybrary is visible.

So isn0t possible to switch the module using the mouse but it's necessary to use the shortcut

Here the complete view:

I moved this from Bugs to Discussions, because Adobe will tell you this is 'as designed'. The width of your monitor (because you use it vertically) is too small for the module labels to show, so you will indeed have to use a shortcut or the menu.

I know that use the monitor with vertical setting is not standard for Lightroom, but if you take attention to the attached image you can see that there is anought space to show all the label.

For sure this isn't a high prioriti problem.

I have LR classic 12.1 updated version. However I find the 5 modules missing on top header after LIBRARY tool.

Go to the Window menu, and select the modules you want to see.

"I also cannot see the cloud icon for syncing with LR mobile ... Is there a work around for that?"

Unfortunately, you can only start/pause cloud syncing via that icon in the module bar.  There's no other menu command or keyboard shortcut, and plugins can't access that functionality.   And LR won't let you make a window wider than the screen size. (Any one of those would provide a workaround...)

I have the same bug of truncated module picker (none of the suggestions fixes it) and have been using the pain in the neck  work arounds but I also cannot see the cloud icon for syncing with LR mobile (which would be to the right of the missing module picker) and so I cannot use it and therefore cannot use LR mobile properly either!!!. Is there a work around for that? And given this whole thing was first reported last fall is there really any hope Adobe intends to fix it?

I have filed a charge back to Adobe for not giving me the product I'm
paying for.

You can corner my message (you know which one) as much as you want. It's not a tantrum, it's a message to be read by you, Adobe employees. The old days are gone. Now it is impossible to write you a letter anywhere, to send you reflections, observations; the company has protected itself from that and has isolated customers in the fold of a community, ignoring them or giving them the runaround if it suits it.

All this can't be good. Neither for us, customers (not "users", no. Customers) nor for the company. Think about it and see what you can do about it.

Regards.

I'm paying my hard-earned money for something slower and slower, heavier and heavier, more and more unusable, that isn't even capable after three updates of correctly displaying its own module selector (see https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-bugs/p-1280x1024-resolution-the-right-hand-module-picker-is-truncated/idi-p/12528784/page/2#comments).

Before, this invention would boot up in seconds. Now I spend endless moments admiring how things shake on the screen before I can do anything.

I understand that a functionality can be transformed into something more complex that needs more resources. I also understand that new features may need more machine. But I do not understand this loss of agility in the interface, already simply starting LR. Throughout the versions, the increase in startup time has been not only noticeable, but a hindrance to our work.

I'm starting to get fed up enough to seriously think about other options. Which there are. Please take note.

Greetings, and thank you for reading me.

Since the update to 11.0 the module picker on the top right is not shown completely anymore (see screenhot). I had hoped that this issue would be solved with the following updates, but even with 11.3.1 it still exists. I have tried to resolve it by adjusting the font size, but it makes no difference: I do not see all modules in the module picker anymore.

Adobe has acknowledged this bug.

As you can see in the screenshot, the tool bar at the top left is cut; my 19" monitor has always served me absolute useful pictures and crystal clear text.

After an update the tools to the right of "slideshc" are unavailable; it seems that Adobe, without any reason, has made older monitors obsolete.

PS: The font size in the about window are a bit to small.

Workarounds for the truncated module picker:

- Do the menu commands Window > Library, Develop, Slideshow, etc.

- Use the keyboard shortcuts listed next to those commands.

...and the shortcuts are?
