P: 13.0.1 at launch [LrC quit unexpectedly] (Mac)

Hi I recently updated my Lightroom Classic and now every time I try to launch it I get the error 'Adobe Lightroom Classic quit unexpectedl'

Below is the crash report. Does anyone know a fix to this?

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog? Did you submit it with your email ID?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Also, the crash reports shows issues with app signature, could you please confirm if installation was successful? Could you try to uninstall the app and install again?

Hi, I have the same problem.  I'm running Lightroom Classic on a  Apple 2017 iMac running Ventura 13.6/

Everything was OK with Lightroom Classic V13.  Last night I upgraded to Lighroom Classic V13.1.

This morning when I tried to open Lightroom Classic and I got an error message saying Lightroom Classic Unexpectedly Quit.

The dialogue box told me to eitehr click to send a report to Apple or Ignore.  When I clicked either option, Lightroom Classic just quit.

I tried deleting preferance files and rebooting.  I then tried reinstalling Lightroom Classic 13.1.  Same problem.

However, I then tried reinstalling Lightroom Classic V13.  That has worked.  It is now running OK on my iMac.

Obviously, this is just a temporary fix until Aobe sort out the problems with V13.1

Oldy, the info for Lightroom Classic V13.1 in teh Adobe App said it contained bug fixes!

I have to say, this makes me very wary of installing future Lightroom updates.

I see the same thing, except that I do not get any crash report. At first launch after the update to 13.0.1. the app was verified by MacOS as usual, and then it terminated rather than launched. Subsequent attempts to launch it simply do not work at all. This update seems a rush job that was fauled up.

I just updated Lightroom Classic for the version 13.0.1 and now the application does not start.
All I get is a error message.

Thank you, I've now had the issue resolved. We rolled back to a previous
version and then to the new version again and this seemed to resolve the
issue.

Update 10/16/2023 - Midday - Central Time (US)

The issue has been traced to a server issue on our end and is not a failure of the Lightroom Classic update itself.  This issue has been rectified.

This means that the previous recommendation for this issue is to perform a clean reinstall of 13.0.1, is still the correct resolution as you may have residual files from previous attempts to install present on your system.

 
There is no additional update (i.e., waiting for 13.0.2) that is necessary to correct this issue. 

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

1. Close Lightroom
2. Restart the computer
3. Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom
4. Restart the computer
5. Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.
6. Restart the computer
7. Launch Lightroom
8. Wait 5 minutes

If you've attempted the reinstall previously, you should follow this instruction set again.

LrC 13.0.1 sur iMac Intel core i9, RAM 32Go, SSD 2To (1,16 To libre), MacOS Ventura 13.6

LrC v13.0.1 plante dans le module développement (photo format TIFF, après quelques retouches locales et correction point de couleur sur un masque "visage")

LrC quitte brutalement, sans aucun message, en cours de développement.

Impossible de revenir dans LrC (quitte immédiatement dès que l'on relance l'application).

La seule solution est de retirer manuellement la photo du dossier dans lequelle elle se trouvait (puis rouvrir LrC et synchoniser le dossier).

Anomalie arrivée hier avec LrC v13.0

Reproduite aujourd'hui sur une autre photo avec LrC v13.0.1

LrC 13.0 used to start just fine. When I updated to 13.0.1, it crashes instantly. Please fix ASAP.

Das heute erschienende Update LrC v 13.0.1 stürzt sofort unter MacOS Sonoma auf iMac mit M1 Chip ab. Rückkehr zu v 13.0 ermöglicht wieder den Start und damit die Nutzung. Auto Update abschalten nicht vergessen, falls aktiviert.

I just ran the latest update that was supposed to fix all the bug fixes and not lrc won't open at all! Help! This came at the WORST TIME.

It happened to me too. You can roll back to 13.0 easily and continue your work today.

1. open the Creative Cloud control app
2. in the left-hand sidebar, click on “All apps”
3. in the list “Installed Software”, locate Lightroom Classic
4. click on the three ••• dots to open the context menu
5. choose “Other versions” from this menu
6. an overlay window will open, showing you the installed as well as Older Versions
7. click “Install” on the version just prior to the one you’re running (if you’re running 13.0.1, install 13.0)

I advise you to go back to version 12.5 at all, it is simply impossible to work on 13.0! It is not known what the developers have changed in version 13.0.1, but the errors are still there!
