P: Applying presets in Quick Develop Panel not functioning

Community Beginner ,
Jan 18, 2025 Jan 18, 2025

Since the latest update of Lightroom Classic, I can no longer apply presets to videos in the Library module. I can select the presets, but they don't change the appearance of the video at all. Restarting my Mac and Lightroom didn't resolve the issue.

I observe similar symptoms -- develop presets that worked with videos in LR 13.5.1 don't work in LR 14.1.1.

To reproduce on Mac OS:

1. Download and uncompress following LR 13.5 catalog, which contains a small sample video:

https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/4wqdnoxvboiglq7odh3ut/video-develop-preset-bug.2025-01-18.zip?rlkey=w...

2. Start LR 13.5.1 and open the catalog.

3. Import the preset "Exposure = 5.xmp" in the catalog folder.

4. In Library with the video selected, do Quick Develop > Saved Preset > User Presets > Exposure = 5. Observe that the video's exposure has changed (correct).

5. Exit LR.

6. Uncompress a fresh copy of the catalog folder and open it in LR 14.1.1 (it will do an upgrade).

7. In Library with the video selected, do Quick Develop > Saved Preset > User Presets > Exposure = 5. Observe there is no change to the video (incorrect).
