Lightroom:Auto advance:When editing I use the short cut keys when flagging an image (ctrl. + up or down arrow keys) auto advance is set to on, but no longer works.did this change in version 3.4? Auto advance works if I hit the "P" key or the "x " key. on its own. thanks

Ctrl+Up/Dn does not auto advance for me neither in LR2.7 nor in LR3.3, neither on WinXP SP3 nor on Win7 64-Bit. P or X do auto advance.

Thanks Beat,
I thought LR had auto advance with the shortcut ctrl +up or down arrow keys...but I was using a work around.....
I was using a filter to show just the undecided flags, that way when I gave a pick either pick or rejected it would advance. But, I got to tell you that is a pain! have to always remember to select that flag then to remember to shut off when done editing!
LR please add auto advance to flagged shortcut....thanks

You know, I'm not sure this makes sense. This short cut is incremental. You might have to hit it more than once to get to the selection you want. That means auto advance wouldn't work. It does work for PUX.

Theoretically, LR could know that the final selection had been made by checking the status of the Ctrl key. Only if the latter is released, auto advance should come into effect. Not saying this solves all issues. Just an idea.

Hi David,

Sounds like a bug to me. I've written the issue up in our bug database.

Thanks,
Ben
