Some are failing to export, as in no file is being created. Around 15 per job of approximately 800. I can't find any common thread amongst them, nor any reason why they would export correctly sized over 2500px but not under

I assume you haven't mentioned an error message so there was no error message.

I have only one wild guess here ... otherwise I don't have a clue why this might be happening. The wild guess is that you might want to try changing the quality slider to (let's say) 70 and see if the problem goes away. For web-sized images, 1200 pixels on the long edge, you don't need the quality slider at 100 (well, you don't need it at 100 even for larger images) and no one will be able to see the difference in web sized photos between 70 and 100.

Thanks for the advice, I've tried reducing the quality, but still doesn't work. I've been exporting files like this on these setting for years, and only recently am I encountering this problem

As a gentle suggestion, error messages should be provided at the start of your thread.

Here are the two logfiles from the images I couldn´t export. I hope this will help you finding the cause of the error.

Tried to export a couple of images today and seeing I wasn't having a problem with tiff I thought I would keep to them... Till I tried to export a 11000*11000 tiff file I had exported many times before. Errored with the message and woud not export. (Trying to downsize to a 5000 * 5000). At least this time it also sent an error to Adobe. Lightroom is fast becoming a brick for me. Hope they are paying attention and working on a fix.

Got the same error in Lightroom 13.0, when trying to export big panoramas (2 or more rows).  Ended up going back to Lightroom 12.5.  That fixed the problem, but I lost my catalog that was upgraded to 13.0.  Had to strat a new catalog...

For the "what it's worth" catagory, I opened a dng file with almost no processing on it and exported it 10000 by 13000 aprox. Reduced the size by half and it exported. Note, it took about a minute for the develope screen to open once the image was selected so I had to wait a while till that stablized. (Not responding message) I then added a subject mask and tried the same save again. Got our same message again with no export. The catalogue has about 7500 images with many being dng pano's of various sizes. As the catalogue gets bigger the program seems to slow down. The fact that dng are the worst type of file to touch makes me wonder...

Hi

I use a windows 10 PC and I recently updated to LRC V13.

I have a new probelm that appaered when exporting 1 single Photo on JPEG format.

Problem is the following :

1- My first photo export take a while (about a minute) for a simple export in JPEG 1920x1920 size. this is much more lengly than before

2- Then I when to export the same photo with the same format after few modifications. My second export ends up in error with the following message (Attachement)

LRC error when exporting photos with V13 on Windows.png

3- I have found a turnaround on this issue which consist to take a new color set (SRGB instade of Adobe RGB and vice versa). With this I can export a second time the same photo. But still very lengsly !

4- After entering into the issue another problem occured with the Sizing option on one photo : I whan to resize to a 4x3 instead of 3x2. but my sizing box cannot change the Photo I whan to resize and is stucked on the last photo I resized !!!! an then my LRC was totally running into loop without gettng back to a normal behaviour. My only choice was to close itup and reopen it !

Not realy pracicle and the exporting issue is still there

As my catalogue was eventually wide (About 50 000 Photos in the catalog) I thought is was eventually an issue. After down grading my catalogue to 30 000 Pics, the issue is still there !

So I guess this is a bug. Could you please investigate and get back to me.

I have a lot of work awaiting and I am blocked.

Many thanks in advance (And sorry for my pooor english. Not really easy to describe functions in english when I use the French App for a while)

Regards. Frederic

I am having this same issue. The "$$$/CRaw/Error/WriteFile = There was an error writing the file. (1)

I have been searching for answers but everything coming up seems to say to "wait it out" while they fix a bug? Is that accurate? I don't have any updates I can do on either LR or my computer. I was exporting fine two days ago and then all of a sudden this happened. Are there any other updates for how to fix this?

Small update, can't seem to edit my previous message.

I exported other raws from the same folder (catalogue) and it exported just fine.

Then i tried exporting the same "problematic" raw as png and it worked. Tried again as jpeg and it failed.

Continued to play a bit with this issue, using the same "problematic" raw.

I think it has to do with the masks (i use a subject and an inverted subject).

What i tried:

- Deleting/hiding both masks exported OK;

- Creating new masks with same settings - NOT OK;

- Having one subject mask, with exposure/contrast/highlights/temperature modified/texture and clarity - NOT OK;

- Using same mask as above BUT with removing texture and clarity - OK

- Adding a second inverted subject mask and leaving it empty - OK;

- Tweaking just the exposure on this second mask - NOT OK.

By OK i mean export worked as JPEG, by NOT OK i mean export didn't work as JPEG and received the titled error...

One other thing i'd like to add regarding this issue.

As a workaround, anytime i encounter it, i just export the picture as png, instead of jpeg and it works.

Is there a way to get in touch with anyone working on Adobe about this issue? Or, how do i report it?

It really sucks having to batch export everything as .png..

I am having the exact same issue. But it is random. I batch export to JPEG in medium resolution, all exported without issue. I batch export the same files in lower resolution for use on Web, and only 3 files will not export. I close LR and relaunch and attempt the explort again and it has always worked in the past but today it is stuck. No matter how many time I relaunch LR, those 3 files will not export. Then I created a new mask "Select Subject". Tried export. Failed. Then I deleted the mask, tried export, worked. In the same instance of LR, without relaunch. But, now when I click on any other thumbnail in the filmstrip, it countinues to show the exported image in the Develop window. These are all images that have the "Select People" masks with each separate feature ( iris, teeth, lips, etc.) created as a mask. The "GPU Rendering" circle at bottom right in LR Develop mode, continues to rotate. The creating new mask "Select Subject" seems to have worked for me for now. Images are exporting fine as JPEG after that. ( Massive apologies for the jumble of text above but it's literally trial and error till the bug is fixed - assuming it's a bug.)
