P: Fails to merge images

When trying merge 6 images (which have plenty of overlap and merge without issue in Photoshop), Lightroom Classic CC says "Unable to merge the photos.  Please cancel and review your selection."  There is no indication why these photos cannot be merged by Lightroom.

    Hi Arjun,

    The merge function appears to be working ok now thanks.
    I'm currently running the 8.3.1 release.
    I'll let you know if any problems crop up 🙂

    Hi Chris,

    Can you please try it on a later version and let us know if it is working fine.
    The current version is 8.3.1

    Just tried signing out and back in again and this time it didn't work

    Hi. I am having the merge failure issue as of 24 September 2018. I have tried signing out and back in which worked, but when switching catalogs the issue reappeared. I am running the 7.5 release. Thanks in advance for any advice / help.

    I have had that issue as well, rarely but enough to remember it happening. Would have been with versions prior to 7.3
