P: Images not sharp unless I zoom in and out

if I go from one image to the next in the library or development module they often are not sharp unless I zoom in and out. It does not happen with every image but with a lot of them.

Funny enough the problem does not occur if I scroll through my images on LR 4 so it definitely has to do with the Classic CC version.

I am using MAC OS High Sierra version 10.13.4
Please help

Yes, this has been a problem for years with Adobe in complete denial that it even happens.

This is such an old thread and I have had the same for a few years now is there still no resolution?

This is actually ridiculous for an image processing software.

im using latest MacOS 2024 latest LR Classic

It seems that finally in Dec 2020 release 10.1 it is fixed. Still cannot believe it - there seems to be a new bug in library mode - if you are zoomed in the color looks quite different than in develop or fit view, maybe the image profile is not used there.

Can anybody confirm changed behaviour in 10.1. ? I just did the update and have seen the old buggy behaviour in 10.0 just before on same images.

I can’t believe we’re still dealing with this problem. If I think of how many hours of my time I wasted zooming in and out of images to check focus in the pst two years I get totally angry. Really disappointed that Adobe is not giving us a solution to this problem. I’m a professional commercial photographer and all the time that is spend doing this is time I cannot be out shooting and billing clients.

What is going on here, Adobe? I have meanwhile changed to a complete new machine, new display (4K), different graphics card, latest Lightroom classic - and so what? Same problem. Not thus prominent as 4k pixels are smaller than my former display could show - anywhere same problem. You destroy any sharp view and reduce 4k to 2k this way. Time to look for different software I fear.
