P: Library Previews not updating

This hasn't ever happened to me previously and I edit hundreds of images a day, as a wedding photographer. Has only appeared since latest update (so far as I've seen).

Edit an image in Develop mode, normally the thumbnail at the bottom would auto update with the new preview/look. It doesn't anymore. Go to Library mode to check, no, no update to the preview, it's still the old look. Force rebuild standard preview (and 1:1 preview) no effect. The Library preview will not update to the new look created in Develop mode.

Quit LR, then restart it, the preview is updated.

Even did a Sync of one process, which was converting to BW across 5 images. Four of the images changed profile to the new look, the 1st image in the group didn't. Stuck with previous old version of the look. Quit and restart LR it changed to new look.

Updates to the Adobe Photography Products were released on June 13.  Using this release we are no longer able to reproduce this error internally. Please install the update and let us know if the issue has disappeared for you as well.

If you do not see the update (Mac and Win) you can refresh your Creative Cloud App with the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl/Cmd]+[Alt/Opt]+[ R ].

Thank you for your patience.

Just a quick update.  Rolling back to 11.2 removed the problem for me.  That problem being (to reiterate) that changes made to a photo do not readily reflect in the Library preview or histogram.  I find this most easily reproducible with the Auto Tone Control in Quick Develop, but I've also found that crops made in Develop don't immediately reflect in Library either.

Here is my system info:

I use the Library module to view images side by side. I crop in develop and view in library. The crop keeps resetting when viewing in develop.

LR Classic 11.3.1

Mac OS 12.31.1

Crop a few photos in develop module.

Select them to view in library using survey view.

Expected result: View photos all cropped.

Actual result: Some photos revert to uncropped version.

Since version 11.3 and also with version 11.3.1 I have the following problem: If I want to synchronize settings with other images in the development module, the settings are not always adopted (especially the cropping of the images). Furthermore, the settings are not displayed when viewing the images in the library module in most cases. The hardware and software requirements are met.

There is a bug under investigation where Library previews do not always update. Try using the 'Build Standard-sized Previews' menu if this happens, because that forces a rebuild.

YES!  This is basically what is happening to me,  I have posted my problem on here but I have heard nothing from Adobe iteself.  We pay enough for LR,  is it too much to ask that it does the job we need it to do?!

Please may I have an investiagation too?

thank you.

Are you using the LrC "edit in function in LrC" to send the image file to Topaz?

Using latest version of LR classic on windows, I notice that not all my edits show up in library.  I imported about 1000 photos, make edits and perform syncing in develop mode, everything looks good there.  However when I switch over to library mode, only some photos reflects the edit. This used to work before.  I even tried to rebuild preview but that did not help.  This sounds like a bug?  How to report?

Some signs from Adobe that it would solve these problems, or I'm forced to look for alternatives?

As of the 11.3.1 release of Lightroom Classic, thumbnails in the grid view no longer consistently update when pasting settings. Most often, the first in a series of images will not show the update, while others do. The image will also not update initially in loupe view, staying the same until develop module is opened. Initially upon opening a catalogue it will happen approxiately 30% of the time, steadily increasing the longer the program is open.

This behavior happens across different catalogues, including new ones created with this version of the program. I've primarily observed this on a Windows 11 PC with Intel 9th gen chip and Nvidia GTX 1080ti machine, but I've also experienced it on an Apple M1 Max Macbook Pro 16. Both machines have 32gb of memory, and I've made sure that plenty is alloted to the program. All previews are standard.

I depend on the grid view being accurate when working with batches of thousands of images that need to be sent to a client. This is a critical bug that needs to be fixed ASAP, as the grid view is not displaying accurate information, destroying its usefulness and making it impossible to trust without going into the developer module for each and every photo.

I have a similar issue. When I import my Canon R6 pictures, the Lens
Correction for Remove Chrinatic and Enable Profile Corrections are auto
selected but the Thumbnails don't Show the +- icon in the corner. I have
to manually unselect the pictures the reselect and the icon appears.

Same issue here. If I quit LR it's OK for a while and then then thumbs stop updating. Plus if I do quick edits in the Library module the thumbs don't update either, but when I click into the Develop module the changes show. It's very disconcerting!

I'm running an M1 MacBook Air with OSX 12.3.1 and LR 11.3.1 and the problems have only started appearing over the the last few weeks, probably since an update but I couldn't be sure whether it was the Mac or LR.

The latest update has a glitch on the sync previews (syncing edits in the library or develop module) the changes take but won't show unless you manually click on each image. The images look like they haven't been edited yet and it's very frustrating, especially for weddings. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Photo 1 is how it shows in grid view and filmstrip. ex2 is the actual edit that is on the image at that time.
