Here's how to install the Media Feature Pack on Windows 10 N and Windows 11 N:

  •   Windows 10 N:  Select the Start button, then select Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Optional features > Add a feature.  Then locate the Media Feature Pack in the list of available optional features.

So been having this issue since 12.4 launched. !2.3 works just fine never issues etc. As soon as i install 12.4 it wont boot. Just nothing. I tired the past suggestions here and so far nothing has helped. Lightroom cloud just doest boot, says there is an issue as to send a report. Have been sending crash reports since 12.4 came out for both. NO help from adobe. Running windows 10-64bit latest standard update. Hardware is a little old but that should matter still 2016 pc parts.

thanks everyone

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and find no crash reports in our system.

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

If you are sending reports, they are not arriving. The next time you see a crash dialog, take a screenshot before you are ready to send it in and then post the screenshot here.  Thanks

Have sent reports again for lightroom cloud based and am updating back to 12.4 to send report for classic. the dialog is pages long so hopefully it came through as this would be tons of screenshots. Have attached the beginning of the report for cloud lightroom. Update 12.4 no longer loads or provides a box to send a report, however it shows a task in task manager.

Clean reinstall of both Lightroom and Classic is the next recommendation:

Clean Lightroom Install Procedure

Close Lightroom

Restart the computer

Use the Adobe Creative Cloud App to uninstall Lightroom

Restart the computer

Install Lightroom via the Creative Cloud App without launching any other programs.

Restart the computer

Launch Lightroom

Wait 5 minutes

The dialog you are showing is not the Adobe Crash Reporter dialog but I can see the dialog under your window on top. Can you close that window and screenshot or does it go away.

Also, for both Lightroom clients, Please go to Help>System Info… and provide us the exact installed version number of your software.

@Artyom31442534gt1y  You have three options:

  1.  Revert to 12.3
  2.  Install the Media Pack as recommended
  3.  Wait for 12.5 to be released.

Any of those three will work. If you need 12.4 and you need to be running today, I would recommend #2.
