Since the last update 14.0..1 my copy and paste is not working as it used to. I can now only past once and if i want to paste same settings which were copied I have to recopy the settings again to past onto another image. Saw some people have simiir issues. I tried to reset prefrences but that did not work. in the past I copy as setting of one photo and paste to other photos as long as I needed it , now that does not work for me anymore.

I don't know if it's because of the recent update to 14.2 but the paste issue is back BIG time.

If I'm pasting settings onto one photo, I have to do it at least 2 times for it to show up.  If I'm batch pasting, I apply all & nothing.  I have to click on each photo for it to refresh.  This is so time consuming and frustrating.

Thank you Rikk. But, no sir. I have now waited 24 hours to try again and while copy/paste is now working, the time it takes for an image to come into view is an average of 5 minutes per image and awaiting the white balance, exposure, etc options to generate as functional. Is this normal

Please post a new Discussion on your issue involving your extremely bad performance of LrC. This is separate from Paste Settings not working. Taking 5 minutes for an image to come into view is not normal.

When you create your post, include a description of the problem, and a workflow of how the problem occurs. And include system information about your LrC version and your computer. (The following is my SOP on sharing that system info):

"Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post. Also large amounts of text in a post also render the Translate function inoperable..."

Order of installation is only important IF you have an Edit in Ps problem that you are resolving, and often due to a previous PS Beta install.

yes, he used the downloaded cleaner tool. after that he re-installed LRC first and both my cut/paste & preset problems were fixed. after we ended the session i re-installed the creative cloud apps i use. he didn't indicate that the order of re-install was relevant and they all seem to be working fine.

interesting to me that i had previosly done a LRC uninstall and reinstall through the creative cloud app but this apparently doesn't really uninstall previous files that may be problematic/corrupted and left behind in successive updates and installs.

Yes, the Adobe Tech probably used the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, as the normal OS uninstall, or the Creative Cloud Uninstall does not exactly get everything. The Adobe Creative Cleaner Tool can be very complete. The Adobe Tech also probably reinstalled in a specific order (PS first)

P.S. did this also remedy your "Some masking models are downloading. Please try again later" problem?

i contacted adobe tech support by phone yesterday (after several hours of waiting and multiple disconnects) i finally was able to do a remote session with an adobe tech support person. his solution was a manual cleanup, which uninstalled all my adobe apps and used an online adobe cleaner tool to remove all adobe related files, prefs & old install files from the mac (excluding the apps that was 25 gigs of stuff). we then did a clean install of all my adobe apps, minus prefs which may have been corrupted. this process took over an hour but it fixed the LRC settings cut/paste and the preset "bugs". i'm a fairly knowledgeable mac system user and could watch and follow what he did but it was nothing a "civilian" could have done and wasn't a problem that could have been dealt with in a chat. interesting to me that i had previosly done a LRC uninstall and reinstall through the creative cloud app but this apparently doesn't really uninstall previous files that may be problematic/corrupted and left behind in successive updates and installs.

@crystalh59836695  @naldeau49

As the writer of the bug and the tester of the fix, I can verify that this is fixed on my systems with the bug recipe I mentioned previously.

It is highly likely that this particular bug, seemingly similar,  is not affecting your workflow and that you are posting in the wrong thread.

My recommendation is to read: P: How do I write a bug report? and assemble the information into a new post describing your issues precisely.

It may also be helpful to review: P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs? prior to posting.

Remember - be complete in the information you provide. Do not include multiple issues in a thread. If you are having more than one problem make sure that you separate those into separate threads for clarity.

I am so disappointed.  Copy/paste is not fixed and I am so, so, so behind at this point in workflow.

"sheesh, what a friggin' disappointment. the installed update which is called 14.1 release did not fix the copy/paste settings bug"

Have you given Adobe a Chat?

Contact Adobe. This via a Chat. Before doing so, prepare your notes and information ahead of time as to be more efficient in communicating. Your info that you have posted in your Discussion is a start for the description, and probably have a copy of your LrC /Help/System Info/ as a text document on hand, so that you can paste or attach that into the chat.

To accomplish the Chat, bring up an Adobe webpage, and click on the Chat button. (see image below) This will start a Chat. At first the Chat will be with a chatbot, Typing “Agent” into the chat text field will bypass the initial chatbot. If an agent does not enter the chat then be assertive in requesting an actual Adobe Tech join in the chat.

In the Chat include (as mentioned above) a description of the issue, and probably your System Info. And include a link to your discussion.

You may want to ask for a phone call.

And please keep notes so that you can share them in your post for others to see.

For example, bring up:

https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

and click on the Chat button, typically found in bottom right corner
