iMac 27" 3.6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i

AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB

32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

macOS Ventura 13.3.1

The function works fine if processing is completed and a DNG file is created.

Works fine if the preview window is closed using the Cancel button.

If the ai denoise preview window is closed using the red dot in the top left then LRC freezes and requires a forced quit.

The misbehavior occurs on my LR 12.3 / Macbook Pro (16" 2023) / Mac OS 13.3.  After clicking the red button of the modal Enhance Preview dialog, LR is acting just as if the dialog were still open.

To reproduce:

1. In Library, select a raw photo.

2. Do Photo > Enhance > Denoise.

3. When the preview completes, click on the red button in the upper-left corner of the Enhance Preview window.

4. Observe that LR beeps when you click the mouse anywhere within the LR window, refusing to respond to the mouse clicks, as if the modal Enhance Preview dialog were still open. But the menu bar and keyboard shortcuts continue working (as they do when a modal dialog is open).

5. Since the menu-bar command Lightroom Classic > Quit Lightroom Classic is greyed out (as is normal when a modal dialog is still open), you can't invoke it either with the mouse or the shortcut Cmd Q.  You have to force quit.
