use case: I want to browse a set of photos and incrementally add some keyword, this involves going back and removing the same keyword.
Background: I am using Lightroom 14.3.1 (latest) on Windows (Windows 10 version 22H2 Build 19045.5737). Lightroom language is english.
Feature in question: For quickly setting keywords, there is the "keyword shortcut" feature, which exists since at least Lightroom 6 and speeds up work a lot.
I am aware that you must first press Ctr+Alt+Shift+K to set the "keyword shortcut", then you can press Shift+K on an in dividual picture to add/remove it.
I am in Library module, Loupe view when I use this feature.
expected behaviour: when pressing Shift+K, keyword is added/removed and a small popup is displayed. Popup similar to pressing "P" or "U", giving "Flag as Pick" or "Remove Flag".
actual behaviour: the shortcut keyword is added or removed but I see that only if I have the "keywording" panel open. There is no popup.
If I do not have the "keywording" panel open, I get no feedback at all.
additional information:
To my knowledge, Lightroom Classic keyboard shortcuts are documented in https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/keyboard-shortcuts.html
I had a chat conversation with an agent on 2025-05-11 (case number ADB-39878980-K4J6)
in which the agent wrote: "in Lightroom Classic, Shift+K is the shortcut for "Toggle between Full Screen with Menubar, Full Screen, and Normal screen mode". If Shift+K is not working, there might be a conflict with another shortcut."
I do not find that feature in above list of keyboard shortcuts. If it is a new addition, it is a conflict with the existing feature. But I am not convinced that this new feature really exists, it would be a mixture of Ctrl + Shift + F ("Switch between Normal and full-screen, hide panels") and F ("Cycle screen modes")
Appeal:
Please bring back the traditional behaviour of Shift+K (add/remove keyword AND display informative popup about the action) which greatly improves the speed of working with a set of pictures.
