P: Unable to export from collection

Explorer ,
Oct 14, 2024 Oct 14, 2024

I just updated to version 14 of Lightroom Classic and now, when I try to export certain images from a collection, the export doesn't work.  I was also unable to edit those images in Photoshop.  It seems to be restricted to DNG files taken with my iPhone and doesn't occur with all DNGs.  I was able to export them using regular Lightroom going to Local and finding the files but not from LR Classic.  Anyone else have this problem?

What happens when you try to export in LrC? If there is an error message, please quote the exact complete word-for-word error message.

Do you find the DNGs which fail are only in a specific date range?

If you select one at the time will they export vs selecting 2 or more?

The option to export is greyed out.

No, doesn't seem to be a specific date range.  The images I was trying to export were taken at different times/dates but were in the same collection.  Error occurred whether it was single image or multiple.

If you go to the File Menu, is the Export clickable or grayed out?

Yes, still grayed out.  Also doesn't work with the keystroke commands  (shift-command-E).

I am guessing your Context (Right-Click is disabled) but your Export button lower left is working?

It gives me an error:

Unable to export.

Source file(s) are offline or missing.

However, the source files are present.

Same here. Updated today. Trying to export from collection, selecting all photos does not immediatelly allow you to see EXPORT. Selecting Collection but NOT selecting photos does give you Export dial box. However when setting all parametrs and hitting EXPORT, nothing is happening. Folder is created but finished progress bar is visible with EXPORT 17files visible. Nothing is happening. What works - exporting photos one by one. Lets hope this will get sorted ASAP.

Yes,  exactly same behavior as you described.  The bar shows but stays and images do not export.  They have a real problem here.  Also on Mac OS Sequia 15.1.  Uploaded my catalog as requested by Adobe - waiting for response,

One more finding - in my case all photose postproduced - EDIT IN NI SHARPENER 6 and then saved are the ones I am unable to export. I could do it one by one but after 17 exports it stopped working.

Yep, this is a big issue and I do hope Adobe will fix this ASAP. Also was supposed to delivery photos for client and was somehow lucky doing it one by one. Unfortunatelly The ones which were processed thru NIK plugin were just no go. This is major problem, I am sure this affect evryone and its not related to you system or computer settings. This is within Lightroom Classic.

Hi Rikk.

Thank you for the info. That was fast. I had to restart the Creative Cloud App by hitting the key combination.

After update, I can confirm, that export is now without problems. Works as expected, zero issues.

Thank you. Fastest update I have witnessed by Adobe. Respect.

I'm on 14.0.1 and export does not work. I was having the same issue as everyone else with having to update the masks every time you go to a picture. I applied the workaround of deleting the lrcat.data and letting it recreate a new file. I updated AI masks by select all > update AI. Now i cannot export. This is incredibly frustrating as I've been trying to finish a gallery worth thousands of dollars. It was exporting fine before applying the workaround for the bugged mask update issue. I literally cannot afford for this program to be so broken right now.

So the export dialogue is popping up now....3 minutes after I click export on a single image. Every time, it's taking minutes to pop up.

I updated to 14.0.1 but still the same problem with not being able to export.

I was able to export one at a time, but that stopped after about 4 exports!!!

I had to revert back to version 13 and do the work.

Please fix this asap!!!

Updated today to V 14.0.1 unable to export anything. Using windows 11 system.

Doesn't matter if its a RAW/DNG/JPG, no status bar showing, just no response from LR when selecting Export function

Trying to export a collection of 72 images and it gets stuck at 11 images. This is version 14.01. Gonna try to revert back to earlier version. Also performance was slow with a $1k graphics card. Adobe is starting to bum me out.
