Mac OSX 12.01, Apple Silicon M1

LightRoom Classic 11.2

After upgrade from 11.1 updating any published collections (to disk) is very slow and gets stuck.  One or 2 get published, then progress stalls

Re-installing 11.1 solves the problem.

I reverted back to 11.1 for Lightroom. And the publishing services work without fail. Seems if there is regression testing occuring, this would be a pretty big miss...

I'm afraid there's not really any extra steps I can offer you, it seems random sometimes they upload sometimes they get stuck. From what I've read here it's affecting multiple Publishing services. I can confirm downgrading has fixed the issue completely for me.

If there's anyway I can provide a log that might record the issue let me know.

Workaround: Clicking on any standard Collection and then pausing for a moment will clear the error and the Publish Collection should finish publishing.

The team has identified the issue and implemented a fix.  They are looking for 2-3 testers to join a special Prerelease area to test the fix. If you are interested, it will require the signing of an NDA and using the yet-to-be-released version of Lightroom Classic. You will also need to commit to providing feedback on the release quickly.  If you can meet these requirements - Direct Message me with your Full Name and Adobe ID.

After about an hour of cranking on this, I was finally able to get my machine into a state where it will stall. Logging bug - setting status to acknowledged.

Thanks!

I'm having this problem too. (MacBook Monterey 12.2)

I haven't done a lot of exports since before I upgraded LR to the latest (11.2) and also upgraded to Monterey. But, trying to Export 50 files now to hard disk and export stops after about 5 files, only thing I can do is cancel export, and restart LR. I start export again and is does about 5 files and stops again. So to export 50 files, I need to stop and restart LR 10 times.
(Doesn't matter if I do high-res or low-res)

I have deleted my preferences, optimised my catalog, and also tried a brand new catalog  with the same result.

My free disk space is getting low (25GB) but not completely used. (As soon as I do these exports I can delete 200GB)

I thought the problem was over for me, but now it's back here too. I initially marked this thread as a bug, but the Adobe staff wouldn't accept it and changed it to a normal question. But I still think this must be a bug in the LR export module.

Thanks. I have a second MacBook, that doesn't have the latest LR update, so I'll export the latest photos as a catalog and try on the other macbook.

If it works, then I might try updating LR and see what happens

Not sure if this helps anyone else but I've found that after clicking on publish (I was uploading to Flickr) if I simply click on another folder in Lightroom, I've had no more hangs.

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Macbook Pro M1 (16gb - 512gb) but every time when I want to export my photos to Pixieset, it's uploading very slow and sometimes freezes.  Hopefully someone can help me?

Thanks Christel

I have the same problem. In addition, LR will no longer perform backups. The progress bar looks like this, and I can wait all night with nothing more happening. I have to force quit every time.

I exported the catalog to another Macbook running Monterey 12.2 and LR 11.1, and was able to Export without issues. Biggest export I did was 440 RAW images at full resolution.

Then I upgraded LR to 11.2, did a couple of exports OK, but then it hung on an export of 11 files, after processing 3 images.

To me it's a bug in LR 11.2, or at least an interaction with Monterey 12.2.x. I'm going to try to roll-back to 11.1 and see what happens.

Thanks. Yes it does.

Early days, but rolling back to 11.1 has allowed me to do a couple of exports

I'm having this problem too. (MacBook i7, Monterey 12.2.1)
Rolling back to 11.1 is working so far.

Also had to force quit a backup once, and then (re-)optimize the catalog

PS: if you switch back to version 11.1 everything works again (for me most important was Pixieset - there I can upload now without any problems...).

I had the same upload problems last night on my iMac intel.  I finally figured that by quiting Lr and reopening it would load a few more files.  This morning it is not advancing to the next photo for editing except in the Navigator and my secondary monitor. I'm seeing a spinning gear in the toolbar beneath the preview and it never resolves.  If there is not a fix soon I will be back here to get some advice on how to go back to the previous version of Lr.

I'm seeing this too, using the SmugMug plugin which uses a Publish.  However, it appears to only happen when I apply the "Resize to Fit" option.  When I turned that off, I saw no problems.  (SmugMug Help pointed me at that.)  My experience also matches Rikk's: simply moving to another collection unsticks things too.   For now, I have reverted to 11.1.

I use the Smugmug plugin in Lightroom Classic (on a Macbook Pro), but it has been freezing when I try to publish new photos the last couple of days. My Lightroom Classic and my Smugmug plugin are both up-to-date. Anyone have any ideas about what is causing this?

Guten Tag,

folgendes Problem mit LrC tritt seit dem letzten Update auf und konnte von mir noch nicht behoben werden.

Mein System:
Windows 11 Home 21H2
Lightrrom Classic 11.2 (Camera Raw 14.2)
Photoshop 23.2.0
Graka: NVIDIA GeFrorce GTX 1070 Game Ready Treiber 511.79

Thanks for posting this. I was beginning to lose my mind. 🙂

For what it's worth, this happens to me when I publish to my PhotoShelter account with Photoshelter's plugin, my WordPress website via WP/LR Sync, Flickr etc. as well — it doesn't appear to be limited to on-disk Publish Collections.

I have similar issues.  The Publish (via Hard Drive) is nearly unusable.  I have to restart my compuyter and Lightroom multiple times to get it to export my images.  I am downgrading to 11.1 to see if it improves.  I am also running windows 10 pro with 32GB ram.

I'm having the same issue updating to Flickr (I can stop the terminal "Publishing" by clicking on a folder).  Also, then when I try to quit and save my catalog I also get hung up.

I have exactly the same problem with Lightroom Classic 11.2 on my MacBook Pro.
There is hardly anything in the activity monitor when you start the publish function. Photos are published extremely slowly.
I had to install the previous version (11.1), with this one the publish function works normally.
