For some reason, I have multiple custom labels showing in Lightroom in the filters, alongside all the standard colour ones. These must have been created in Bridge perhaps, as I can't find a way of editing them or removing them in Lightroom.
Does anyone know how to edit the list of labels in Lightroom, or remove custom labels from images in Lightroom? It's not a probelm for Lightroom, but when a third party software opens my catalog, then it shows all these random labels, which I don't use anymore or want to see.

Click on one of the labels in the filter bar you want to remove. The grid will now show the images with that label. Select them all, then apply another label or 'no label' to them via the Metadata panel. https://mastering-lightroom.com/color-labels-lightroom-classic/
You cannot manage these labels here - this filter bar works differently than the Keywords panel.
This filter is just reporting all the labels that are currently applied to images. The way to stop a particular entry from appearing here, would be by bulk changing every image which has got it - either to no label, or to some different label. The filter can help you locate the images concerned.
After you reset the filter, the labels with zero images will be gone.

Thanks everyone. Changing the colour rating of all images with each label didn't delete the lavel itself, just took down the number of images with that label to 0. However, moving to the next label and changing those images then removed the previous label from the list, which is what I was trying to achieve.
