Alert: If you updated to Sonoma 14.2 please install the 14.2.1 update

Adobe is recommending Lightroom Classic customers not update to Sonoma 14.2.
Sonoma 14.2.1 has been released and contains fixes that address the issues introduced in 14.2. Please update directly to 14.2.1 or if you are already on 14.2, please update to 14.2.1 as soon as your system allows.

Our Helpx document should be updated shortly.

Just updated to Sonoma 14.2.1 and it fixed the problem. LrC now recognizes my iPhone. Yay.

I updated to 14.2.1 today and tethering is still not working. It seems to connect to the camera (Canon EOS R5) but the window with the camera settings and the shutter "button" never appears. Using the latest version of Lightroom Classic (13.1).

I can confirm that Sonoma 14.2.1 has resolved the issue of LRC and importing via iPhone.

Sonoma 14.2.1 was released earlier today with several bug fixes in this area. Please update your Mac and let us know if you continue to see Sonoma 14.2-induced issues with Tether, Direct Device Cable Connect, and Card Readers.

    Thank you for your patience.

I was having problems importing videos from my iPhone. Tech support suggested updating to the new Mac OS. Now Lightroom is not recognizing my Iphone. Any suggestions?

The support person you talked with is apparently unaware of Adobe's recommendation not to update to Mac OS 14.2:

Mac OS 14.2 breaks LR's ability to talk to devices connected with a USB cable.  See the help article inside that post for workarounds.

    Version 13.1

    MacOS 14.2

    Step:

Connect cameras directly into mac, Mac recognizes cameras on system reports->USB.

    and open Import at lighroom

    Expect:

Appear camera on import dialog and enumulate images.

    Real Act:

Caemara does not appear on import dialog.

Cameras are Nikon Z8 and J5

Mac standard 'Photos' is no Plobrem.

Is this issue related only to SD cards or it affects Cfexpress cards as well?

I observed this issue in OS 14.1 and 14.2 when uising Adobe Bridge.  I was not able to download photos from my Canon EOS R.  I was able to download fine in Apple's  Photos app.  I downloaded and installed OS 14.3 Beta today and can post that the issue has been fixed.👍
