Badges awarded?

I seem to have been awarded more than a dozen badges for posting and answering questions. Are these real or has this community been hacked?

My profile is showing 28 badges so I'm sure there are even more than that number.

I think it's pretty normal. If you click on any poster's displayed badge you will see their profile with their own badges.

They are real. It's a backlog from the old forums, that's why you suddenly will see so many.

It's a brand new idea from Adobe to award badges instead of points. The more badges you get, the more encouraged you feel and therefore feel more inspired to participate and be more involved in the community. That's the theory! 😀

My email program had the right idea. All the emails telling me I had won another badge were sent to my Junk folder!!
