After upgrading Lightroom 6 to Lightroom Classic CC so I could view images taken from my Canon 6D mkii, I find I cannot copy a setting from one photo to paste onto another photo... meaning I have to individually edit each and every photo.
This is very time consuming.
Please help

Hi juliej,
We're really sorry for all the hassle. Could you please let us know the exact version of Lightroom Classic CC you are using now? Go to Lightroom > help menu > About Adobe Lightroom Classic CC
Also, you may try resetting the Lightroom preferences back to defaults and check if that helps.
Refer the link: How to set Lightroom Classic CC preferences
Let us know the results.
Regards,
Mohit

Try using the 'Sync' button in the lower right-hand Develop module panel. Select all of the images you want to copy & paste settings including the one with those setting as "most selected" (i.e. highlighted). In the pop-up select the settings you want to copy and click on the 'Synchronize' button. Does that work?

I have followed the instruction set out in the link Mohit and I still cannot paste any settings copied, either via shortcut keys or via the menu bar.

Please Mohit,
I really need to sort through this issue. I have over 200 photos I need to edit by tomorrow for a presentation and I can't edit every single photo.... are you still there??

I think ill just give up.
This is rediculous to spend good money that worked fine... and only needed an update because i bought a new camera, which it could not read. Now I cant edit the photos the same way I use to in the old program.
This is an unprofessional way to treat clients. I am a busy person like all the others, and I cant do what was a simple editing process.
Really, really unhappy an upset

Sorry for the delay in my response. we have tested this issue at our end and its working fine. We are on Lightroom Classic CC 7.5, Windows 10.
Are you getting any specific error message while pasting the develop settings on another image?

Mohit

I am also having the same issue. I am using Lightroom 4 (version 4.4). For the longest time the copy & paste settings worked in Lightroom which I loved because it made editing SUPER FAST. In the past year, I have been unable to copy editing I have done to one photo and paste it to the photo right afterwards. I can press the buttons "copy" & "paste" but no changes are actually pasted to the next photo. I have tried using the buttons in light room navigator, the keyboard shortcut, AND using the "edit" menu options and still no luck. I have tried to find an answer to this issue on the forum but have not been able to find a solution.
Seems silly that the copy & paste function just stopped working. Would really appreciate if someone could give me a fix so I don't have to edit each photo one-by-one. The whole reason I got Lightroom in the first place was to edit my photos faster.
Thanks!

I've had the same problem and this has been an absolute deterrant to even using the software.
It's also obvious to me not one of your reps that replied in this thread have ever used the product because it takes no trouble at all to actually try it. It seems like you're going down some flow chart sitting in a CSR cubicle or work from home.
Sadly I'd have expected the amount of money spent on this to go toward support staff that can say "Let me try it on my copy."
None of you have tried to isolate the CAUSE, you're just making suggestions like everyone's doing it wrong, which tell me who's doing it wrong, and that's you.
So. Ask your bosses "What would cause this to not copy and paste settings" and maybe tart questions with the following:
"What kind of coputer are you using" - Mac
"What os are you using" - Big Sur
"What proessor do you have " -intel i5.
The lack of qualifing questions says none of you have used the program.

You’ve posted to an ancient thread. It is highly unlikely that the issue described in this thread, though not impossible, is the same one you are currently experiencing. Rather than resurrect an old thread that is seemingly similar, you are better off posting to a new thread with fresh, complete information, including system information, a complete description of the problem, and step-by-step instructions for reproduction.
If the issue is the same, we will merge you back into the appropriate location.
Thank you!

Julie, please copy/paste the first ten lines from the menu command Help > System Info. You may have tripped over a nasty upgrade bug.
