P: Export slideshows as videos fails to complete

I am so SAD!  I have bought a new Macbook M4 Max

However, Lightroom CC lastest version, cant EXPORT slideshows as videos!

the progress bar is stopped at nearly 10% position.

No matter if I wait several hours it won't move any progress = I Cant export slideshow as Video

I always used this function, for a few years, day by days

I uninstalled the LR and tried reinstalling it, but it still failed.

Does anybody have the same issue?

I wonder if it is a problem related to M4 chips. Please kindly help and fix please!

I have had this issue for years. Adobe cannot resolve it so don't expect any miracles. I'm on M2 MBP Max with the highest specs. It frustrates the hell out of me since I've been on the journey since the inital beta release. LR Classic has never been good with video. I recommend moving on to a more suitable program like premiere. Great to see they are finally acknowledging 4K output, as useless as that feature is for me.

I've surfaced this again with the Classic engineering team. For those of you who still see this issue on LrC 15.0 the team is requesting diagnostic logs.

  1. Restart Lightroom
  2. Attempt to export a Slideshow as a video
  3. Upon Failure, generate a log

    For LrClassic:
  4. Go to Preferences
  5. Lightroom Sync tab
  6. Hold down [Alt/Opt]
  7. Click [Generate Diagnostic Log]
  8. When you have the diagnostic log, post it to a sharing service (Dropbox or similar) and then share the link with us.

Thanks!

Mac Studio M1, MacOS Tahoe.  LRC 15 - fails every time on Export of slideshow. No different than previous version, stalls at exact same point.

the progress bar still stucks on around 5-10%

can Adobe fix this asap?

I wonder how they can let this stupid problem exist for such a long time, nearly a one whole year!!!

It's been more than a year!!!  They charge me more, yet still don't fix major bugs.

The export slideshow has not been working since updating to LR 14.

I'm on an M4 Max using OSX 15.5

I've just downgraded to V13 and exported a 77 image slideshow, with a mix of portrait and landscape images, with a background, text and custom audio in under a minute. On LR 14 it just hangs at 10%.

I've been on support with an agent who took control of my screen and did lots of checks regards GPU acceleration, zoom to fill settings, music settings, preference files etc and his suggestion when it couldn't be fixed was to use Adobe Express instead... which was not slick to do at all. I don't see this as an acceptable solution and would hope the Devs can look at what's broken and fix it going forward!

There are a fair number of reports here of slideshow export failing in LR 14 on Mac. Unfortunately, the Slideshow module (like Map, Book, and Web) is no longer well-supported by Adobe. So your best option, at least in the short term and likely in the long term, is to use a third-party app for creating slideshows.

Here also the same problem with Mac Mini4 and the latest version of Lightroom which I love to work with, but exporting video of a selection of photo's just don't work, tried almost every suggestion I read on the internet.  But nope. not working.  As it's a part of my workflow I have to do it on my old iMac which costs time and frustration!  I'm pretty sure it's not the pictures which are the problem. Also not the catalogue .  Looks like some kind of bug to me.   Does anyone have a good suggestion how to make a similar easy video with one of the other Adobe programs. Video-editing programs take more time.

Thanks
