On my surface i am running lightroom cc 2015, but when i download lightroom through creative cloud on my desk top i can only down load lightroom 5. Then when I try to use my catalog i get a message that my catalog is to new for this version of lightroom. What do I need to do to fix this

You have to buy and install a 64-bit version of Windows, assuming that your PC is capable of runninng a 64-bit operating system.

If your desktop is a 32 bit operating system, you can't install LR CC or LR 6, the latest you can install is LR 5.7.1, and your LR CC catalog is not backwards compatible to LR 5.7.1. Best solution is to update your operating system to 64 bits.
