Lightroom has come pretty far, especially over the last few years, and I think that's due, partially, to this community making suggestions and demanding better software from Adobe.
With that, I don't want to seem dismissive of the wonderful set of tools that we have to use in LRCC, but with the incredible advancements in AI rolled out in the latest release of Photoshop, the Content Aware Remove Tool (CART) is looking a little long-in-the-tooth. Rarely doing what I need it to do on the first try, CART is feeling dated and when compared to it's big brother's set of futuristic tools, I can't help but wonder if / when LRCC is going to get a useful set of new removal tools in a near-future update (I for one would love to see AI dust spot removal finally make an appearance).
Anybody else feeling the same way?

I do. I set it back to the old healing brush, because that usually does a better job than the newer tool. And I do want that AI dust removal!

Greetings,
After reading your comments, I wonder if you've tried the Early Access feature in Lightroom Web showcasing an updated Content-Aware Remove?
If you have any particularly problematic images, we would love to have you try the Content-Aware Early Access. You can do this by syncing your images from Lightroom Classic or, if you don't currently sync, upload them independently and try the new feature.
Details are here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-discussions/p-new-ai-powered-content-....
There is a nifty feedback mechanism to tell us exactly how the tool performed and allowS you to add your comments.
Drop us a note and let us know how it worked for you compared to the heals you've performed in Classic.

Thanks for that, Rick. I haven't tried that yet but I'm so busy and my workflow is almost entirely LRCC. I'd love to see some of those preview features available in LRCC too (an AI remove / dust-spot tool would be the ultimate solution). Is this a thing that might be offered in the near future? I understand that you probably can't tell me that.

Of course that might be offered in the future, otherwise Rikk would not suggest to you to test it, don't you think? "Hey, try this out! We will never add it to Lightroom Classic, but at least you'll know what you will be missing!". Rikk is not that evil. 🙂

No he's not 🙂 - I also know that some other options in LR aren't available in LRCC for whatever reason, so I guess that's why I asked. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the features being onboarded by LRCC soon!

Ok Rikk I just tried it out and it works wonderfully. Looking forward to this significant upgrade in LRCC!
