Hello,
I need to set the same color to an object in different photos.
How can I copy and paste Point color reference between masks in different photos?
If it cannot be done with Point color can this be done another way in LrC?
It would be very helpful to have the RGB numbers in Point color.
Regards
Fabio

So if I understand you correctly, you want to copy the target color? I don't think you can do this because the amount of correction depends on the source color. You can copy and paste masks, but not individual mask sliders between existing masks.

To work fast use Adobe Camera Raw and use the Sampler tool.
Put a sampler on the object you need to affect.
Then with masking adjust the color in each photos till the object has the same values in all photos.
• If you dislike the idea of using ACR then you can still work in LrC.
The workflow requires to:
With the mouse hover over the object whose colors you need to adjust > read the RGB values under the histogram > adjust the color using Point Color > hover over the object > read again the values > adjust using Point Color > etc...
It's a colossal waste of time and I do not recommend it.
LrC is terrible for all color workflows if one seeks to be efficient and work fast.

Hello Cella,
thanks for the reply, i will try this way.
If Adobe on Point color inserted the numeric values it would be easier.

Point Color and Masking Point Colors are odd.
Point Colors (Color Mixer panel).doesn't see the colors we see on the screen.
It see the colors without certain settings apllied i.e.
• Look Tables in certain camera Profiles
• RGB Curves
•Color Grading
•Masking
Use Point Colors in Masking that instead samples the colors we see on the screen.
This will help you keep your mental sanity.
Bear in mind also due to an ill fated design Masking Point Colors is "order dependant" so it doens't see the the color if a Correction above the Correction where is sampling has changed it.
E.g
Notice that says the color color can't be sampled...is fasle.
The Bottom Correction darkens the cat by Exposure -4
Point Color is done the middle
The top Correction brightness the cat by Exposure +4 (effectively nullifying the effect of the bottom Correction)
Because Point Color is in the middle it still sees the cat as if it was totally black (Correction order dependancy)
So point colors needs to be done on top of all current Masking to work.
Notice how now I was able to sample (basically in the exact same spot that before was forbidden)

Hi Johan
what i mean is i would like that i could copy the color reference from a source mask to another mask in another photo. Basically being able to match color between 2 different masks, in different photos.

AFAIK, that is not an option.
