Crosshatching effect after exporting from LR

After I export from lightroom i get this weird cross hatching effect on some of my photos. I never had this problem before up until recent and I cant find a solid answer to fix this. If anyone knows of a solution please help! Thank you!

Ive been exporting the same for years and out of nowhere this started happening. Doesn't happen to all pictures but a lot of them are effected like this. I've looked online and this has happened to quite a few people but all of them with no solid answers why. This has been bugging me for some time now and I don't know what to do

What is the camera settings for this image, specifically the ISO? Does this happen on images taken during the day with bright light? What does the image look like when you zoom in close in Lightroom? Can you see the pattern before it is exported? What are your sharpening and noise reduction settings.

doesn't matter the time of day it happens randomly to every picture.

and yes i can see the pattern when I'm looking at the image on the Library tab but once i go to the develop tab its gone. If i zoom in on the image on the develop tab it looks fine. sharpening is at 73 and noise reduction at a 0. I don't believe sharpening and the noise reduction are the problem since I've used it way more of different pictures

Sorry that you exports from Lightroom have a unexpected effect.

However, as JohanElzenga has mentioned, we'd need a screenshot of your export so that we can better relate to the issue, Also more details would be helpful for us to provide you precise and quick resolution:

• Which version of Lightroom are you using?
• Provide us a screenshot illustrating the issue.
• Which operating system are you using?
• What is the file type/format and which format are you exporting the file as?

And i using Lightroom CC 8.2.1

Operating system is macOS

file type is a RAW photo (.CR2) and exporting it into a .jpeg

I've been exporting the same for years now and this just started happening not too long ago. Multiple people online have occurred this issue but yet to find a solution. Any help to fix this problem is greatly appreciated.

I am having a similar issue, but cross hatching appears only in one image when exported as tif or printed but not visible in Library or Develope module when viewing in LRC. It only appears if I use any sharpening, but the more sharpening I use the more it apears. I normally use 50 sharpening, Radius 1 Detail 25 on all my prints. The file is a scan from an Imacon scanner and I have printed many, many other similar images/scans and have not had this issue. This particular image has had a lot of adjustments made to it, dodging and burning. I am using  Mac book pro OS Ventura 13.4 and LRC  13.2. I have tried it with the graphics processor on auto  or off.

Please do not post a “me too” message to a thread that is several years old. Your problem may seem the same as the one discussed here, but the chance that it is really the same as a problem that occurred many years ago is very slim. Find a recent thread, or create a new thread explaining in detail what your problem is. Do not forget to give information about your OS (Windows or MacOS? What version?) and give the Lightroom version number as well.

I’m wondering if it is excessive noise in the image. Share one of the images and we might be able to tell.

3200 ISO is pretty high. Does it happen on lower ISO images? What happens if you apply a small amount of noise reduction?

I have images with the ISO at 6400 from last year shot on the same camera with no crosshatching over the image. I don't think thats the problem. And nothing. crosshatching is still there after exporting

Can you share the originals, one at 6400 without crosshatching and one without? It would be interesting to take a look at them in their raw format.

Very strange. The hatching seems to suggest (at least to me) artefacts caused when LR needs to extrapolate to enlarge and image. With than in mind.

• What is your original RAW image file (which I assume you are processing)?
• Is the cropped image a different size?
• What are your Export settings and are you enlarging?
