Ever since I upgraded to Lightroom Classic 13.4 I'm having several issues. The most annoying is when I try to delete a photo. When I right-click in a photo and then click on "remove photo" an option would appear to "Remove from Lightroom" or "Delete from disc". The same thing would occur when I used the keys Command/Option/Shift/Delete - the option to remove or delete would show up. Upon clicking an option It would then "remove and trash photo" or "remove from Lightroom" (depending on which option I chose). Now when I try to delete (using either method) I get a long pause while it says "gathering information" at the top left. This takes 30 seconds to a minute before the option to "remove from Lightroom" or "delete from disk" box comes up. This is really frustrating and taking up way too much of my time. Sometimes the pause will go away if close down Lightroom and reopen it but sometimes not. In addition, there are other lengthy pauses that were never there before: when I click on "Auto" in the Develop Module, when I click on "edit in" when I try to go to an external app, and some functions. Is anyone else having these issues and if so how can I fix this?

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/
p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.
example:
I deleted my example now that the OP posted the requested info, as to clear up scroll space.

I put this info into a reply to my own question but thought I would put in a reply directly to you as well

And a final inquiry, before seeing that system info. (or in addition)
The hard drive your catalog is located om. How much free space in percent?
Looking for at least 20% free, some say 25% free.

Following probably has nothing to do with your primary problems, however.
That default value of 5 GB for Camera RAW CACHE is way way to low. Even Adobe states to increase that to at least 20 GB..
This will effect performance in the develop module. it will not effect performance in the Library module. It can effect performance in the import if you apply develop presets.

Just thought of something else to ask. Might it help eliminate the problems if I uninstall and reinstall LrC? I'm just scared to death to lose any photos though.

An afterthought.
Where do you keep your photos? Not the catalog, but the photos. Same hard drive as the catalog (Ok, but not mandatory) or a different hard drive (also Ok) or dread dread a NAS or the Cloud (not so Ok)

And perhaps a small test that might give a clue or might accomplish nothing.
In LrC, in the Folder Panel, create or point to anew/different folder. Then in LrC move a few photos. Any issues?
Preferably these would be photos you want to remove, as after moving them (if without error) you might want to test removal from that location. Also, you might want to go ahead and give that folder a name like crud, or reject, etc. should you desire to keep it for file structure purposes (others may say, noooooo,)
